Mississippi Center for Cultural Production
This project will work to engage the community in a process of developing the Mississippi Center for Cultural Production. A physical space to facilitate the research and development of cultural products – through film, photography, audio stories, theater, dance, and culinary arts – that speaks to the history and future of our community. The center will include an outdoor pavilion for community meals and performances, a production space, residency space, and a functioning small scale farm that produces fruits, vegetables, and livestock.
Our stories are our link to history and health. We seek agency to own and share our stories and connect them to our means of production, both cultural and agriculture.
